I still receive spam, even though filtering is turned on

There are several reasons why you may be receiving spam.  Here are some things to check or consider

  1. Even if you hosting account has spam filtering activated, check that the actual mailbox does too
  2. Spam email is changing all the time, and so do the patterns. It is therefore important to keep training your spam filter to ensure that it recognises newer trends in spam email.
